Recommended Action:
a) Approve Piggyback of File #24-359 for the purchase of one (1) Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck, per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA23-VEH21.0: Heavy Trucks and Buses, and award to The Peterbilt Store of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $224,336; and
b) Approve Asset# 34394 to be sold at auction.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of one (1) Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck to replace Asset #34394, which will be utilized by the Utilities Water Distribution Department. The prices, terms, conditions, and specifications are from the Statewide Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract# FSA23-VEH21.0:Heavy Trucks and Buses and has been reviewed by the Department.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of one (1) Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck to The Peterbilt Store of Fort Myers, Florida for a cost of $224,336 and approve Asset #34394 to be sold at auction.
