body
This amendment of the alarm ordinance is meant to clarify definitions of an alarm system, distinguish it from a fire alarm, clarify time from “a year” to “12 months”, add definitions for advancements in technology, update any fees imposed for false alarms, and streamline the right to contest any fee by removing the lengthy process from the Clerk of Court and the Justice System and providing an appeal authority through the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
