BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Public Works is seeking a qualified professional engineering firm with experience in design and rehabilitation of bascule bridges to provide engineering services to recommend structural and mechanical repairs and maintenance needed for the Tom Adams Bridge (#010029) over Lemon Bay. The Consultant will prepare an engineering bridge repair memorandum providing a summary of findings from the Consultant’s site inspection, evaluations, and provide recommendations.
Public Works has reviewed and approved the scope and fee submitted, a copy of which is attached.
