REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION
recommendation
Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #25-605, Water and Wastewater Chemicals to various vendors, on the attached tabulation, for first term of October 1, 2025, through and including, September 30, 2026; and
b) Authorize County Administrator to approve two additional one-year terms, at the same prices, terms and conditions, by mutual consent. This is an annual contract for the procurement of water and wastewater treatment chemicals on an “as required” basis to be used by Charlotte County Utilities.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Fund – Operations budget as approved in the FY2025 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This is an annual contract for the procurement of water and wastewater treatment chemicals on an “as required” basis to be used by Charlotte County Utilities. The Chemicals being recommended are highlighted and listed on the attached tabulation.
It is in the best interest of the County to award Request for Bid #25-605, Water and Wastewater Chemicals to various vendors, on the attached tabulation, for first term of October 1, 2025, through and including, September 30, 2026, with two additional one-year renewal options, by mutual consent.
