Recommended Action:
a) Ratify the County’s electronic submission of the FY26 America250 Grant Program Application as transmitted on/about August 6, 2025; and
b) Adopt Resolution authorizing the County Administrator, or designee, to execute other necessary application documents; and
c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Resolution.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. A budget amendment will be brought to the Board for approval, if awarded. Grant funding will be provided by Florida Department of State. There is no local match required.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The application was electronically transmitted on August 6. Ratification is required to formally authorize the submission and to allow the County Administrator to execute any related application documents. The purpose of this grant is to secure funding for a mural at the transit facility. The mural will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and highlight the role of public transportation in supporting American ideals such as freedom, equity, access, and opportunity.
