a) Approve Letter of Agreement (LOA) with the State of Florida through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) relating to intergovernmental transfers to the State; and
b) Authorize the County Administrator, or designee, to execute documents associated with the approved agreements.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Pursuant to the Charlotte County Local Participation Fund Ordinance, codified in Part II, Chapter 2-3, Article VII of the Charlotte County Code of Ordinances, as adopted on July 13, 2021, the Charlotte County Board of Commissioners conducted a public hearing on June 24, 2025 to discuss, consider, and authorize Resolution 2025-218 setting the rate of collection for a payment due in accordance with the Resolution for Fiscal Year 2025-2026. The Letter of Agreement is a statutorily required document related to the Resolution which is to be provided to the AHCA by October 1, 2025.
