Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Piggyback File #26-230, for the purchase of one (1) Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA25-VEH23.0: Heavy Trucks and Buses, and award to The Peterbilt Store South Florida, LLC of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $219,036; and
b) Approve Asset #35161 to be sold via auction.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Heavy Equipment Replacement Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding is provided from Utility Rate Revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of one (1) Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck to replace Asset #35161 which will be utilized by Utilities. The 2027 Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck will include a 52,000 lbs GVWR truck 4x6 cab and chassis with an Allison 4500 RDS-P Automatic Transmission, 46k Rears, Shock Absorbers, Air Flo 14’ Dump Bed with Brake Controller, and a 5-year Parts and Labor Warranty. The prices, terms, and specifications are from the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA25-VEH23.0: Heavy Trucks and Buses contract.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of one (1) Peterbilt 567 Dump Truck to the Peterbilt Store of South Florida, LLC of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $219,036; and approve Asset #35161 to be sold via auction.
