BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On July 22, 2025, the Board approved the Ranking of Request for Proposal #25-431, Water Quality Monitoring Program - Lakeview/Midway and Cape Haze, allowing the start of negotiations.
During negotiations it was discovered that additional scope of services was needed, and the estimated costs was much higher than the department had intended to allocate for this project. Utilities is exploring other options for accomplishing this effort in a manner that will keep this project as close to the original budget as possible.
