Background:
D.R. Horton, Inc. is requesting a Bond Release of the approved surety provided under Bond No. 21BSBIV3400, issued by Hartford Fire Insurance Company, in the amount of $2,743,828.13 for the completion of a subdivision named, Babcock Ranch Community-Preserve. The subdivision consists of one hundred fifty-four (154) two-family units and a small amenity area. The subdivision was granted Final Plat approval by the Board of County Commissioners on April 26, 2022. The site is 39.07± acres and is located south and east of Bluebird Trail, north of Cypress Parkway, west of the border with Glades County, in the East County area. Located in Commission District I.
The applicant was originally granted approval of a Developer’s Agreement and surety in the amount of $2,743,828.13 to ensure the completion of the infrastructure for the subdivision.
All work has been completed and accepted by the Public Works Department and the County Engineer.
What Action will be accomplished?
If approved, the surety bond will be released.
