Charlotte County received correspondence from the attorney representing Oak Forrest Condominium Association regarding the sidewalk located along Forrest Nelson Boulevard between U.S. 41 and Quesada Avenue. The Association asserts that the sidewalk is located on private condominium property and not within County right-of-way. They have expressed concern regarding potential liability associated with having a publicly used sidewalk located on their property. The County has no records identifying who originally installed the sidewalk. Staff is looking for direction on what direction the board would like to take on this issue.
