BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

This is for professional design services for the South County Annex Master Plan and Design to Replace the current building.

The project will provide a new, approximately 30,000 square-foot, modern and code-compliant facility. The current facility is located at 410 Taylor Street, Punta Gorda, Florida.

The project will require a master plan exercise to determine and define future Charlotte County Annex Space, which will manage growth by establishing an organizational framework that standardizes future Annex Space throughout the County. Upon completion of the planning exercise, that guidance will be utilized to design and program the replacement of the current South County Annex.

On November 25, 2025 the Board approved the ranking of firms, and start of negotiations, but requested the contract be brought back to the Board for official review and approval.
