Recommended Action:
Request Change Order to approve extension of Request for Bid # 25-684, Emergency Rental of Generators - County Jail, awarded to 360 Energy Solutions, LLC, located in Miami, Florida, at the unit prices bid, extending the rental period through the completion of the repair of the current permanent generator.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Safety Fund - Facilities Management budget as approved in the FY26 budget process. Funding for this item comes from ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Facilities is requesting the extension of the Emergency Rental Generators - Charlotte County Jail, for two (2) towable generators:
500KW Diesel Cummins $6,500 per month
750 KW Diesel Caterpillar XQ 800 $10,250 per month
(35) 4/0 Camlock Cable 50' is $1,400 per month
(35) 4/0 Male Pig Tail is $280 per month
One-time delivery rate of $1,500 and pick up rate of $1,500.
No charge for wire for remote 2 conductors 12 AWG 100 feet.
This extension is being requested until the current permanent generator is repaired and brought back on-line. The parts needed for the permanent generator repair are a custom-manufactured and not readily available off the shelf. As a result, we are dependent on the manufacturing process currently and Genserve is unable to provide a shipping and repair date, therefore requiring these rentals.
The Request for Bid was received on September 19, 2025, and was awarded through March 31, 2026, by the County Administrator.
