Recommended Action:
a) Approve the William R. Gaines Jr. Veteran Memorial Fund License Agreement Extension; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Maintenance is budgeted in the General Fund - Park Maintenance as approved in the FY 27 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The Board of County Commissioners entered into a License Agreement September 9, 2025 for the donation and installation of a sign at the kayak launch at William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park. A 6-month extension was granted on April 28, 2026. The Fund is requesting an additional extension of the Agreement in accordance with Section 4 of the agreement, under the same terms and conditions.
