Recommended Action:
Approve Piggyback of File #26-647, Pour in Place Replacement for Various Parks, to KOMPAN, Inc. of Austin, Texas, piggybacking off of Sourcewell Contract No. 101625, for a total amount of $257,948.31. This is for the furnishing and installation of Poured-in-Place (PIP) safety surfacing at various Charlotte County parks.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Community Services Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY27 budget process. Funding is provided from the Capital Projects Fund, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The PIP safety surfacing is necessary to maintain safe conditions at County playgrounds and recreational facilities. Utilizing the Sourcewell contract provides the County with access to competitively awarded contract pricing while addressing the County's safety and maintenance needs at multiple park locations such as William R Gaines Jr Veterans Memorial Park, Deep Creek Park, Katherine Ariens Park, Centennial Park, and Higgs Park. The attached documentation provides the listed prices for the PIP surfacing at each park. The total cost for the requested PIP surfacing is $257,948.31.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the Piggyback File #26-647, Pour in Place Replacement for Various Parks, to KOMPAN, Inc. of Austin, Texas for a total cost of $257,948.31.
