BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The County’s adopted code enforcement system provides the County’s appointed special magistrate with the authority to hear and decide cases involving alleged violations of any Code, development regulations, other ordinances of the County, any condition of any development order, and any statute, code, rule, or regulation incorporated in the County’s Code by reference. Unless injunctive relief is granted by a court, some violators will continue to permit or cause violations.
The County Attorney’s Office is seeking authorization to initiate legal proceedings for injunctive relief to further facilitate compliance with the Code.
