Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of File #24-372 for the purchase of one (1) CAT® 299D3 XE Compact Track Loader, per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA23-EQU21.0, and award to Kelly Tractor Company of Miami, Florida for a purchase price of $174,550; and
b) Approve Asset #26000 to be sold via auction.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of one (1) CAT® 299D3 XE Compact Track Loader to replace Asset #26000, which will be utilized by Public Works Solid Waste within the Landfill. The total cost includes a 5-year/3,000 hours full warranty. The prices, terms, conditions, and specifications are from the statewide Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA23-EQU21.0, Heavy Equipment and has been reviewed by the Department.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of one (1) CAT® 299D3 XE Compact Track Loader to Kelly Tractor Company of Miami, Florida for a purchase price of $174,550 and approve Asset #26000 to be sold via auction.
