Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Piggyback File #24-397, Radio Replacements, to Motorola Solutions of Cape Coral, Florida, per NASPO Contract 00318, Public Safety Communications, Products, Services, and Solutions, for the total amount of $1,274,380.78. This is for the replacement of radios for Public Safety; and
b) Approve Budget Adjustment BA24-115 in the amount of $824,381 to the Radio Communications Fund.

Approve Budget Adjustment BA24-115 in the amount of $824,381 to the Radio Communications Fund - Radio budget. Funding for this expenditure comes from radio user fees.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Public Safety is requesting the replacement of radios for the P25 Phase 2 radio and accessory replacements for Fire/EMS. These replacements are for aging radios, as well as, to allow interoperable communications with counties mandating P25 Phase 2 technology.
These radios are available per NASPO Contract 00318, Public Safety Communications, Products, Services, and Solutions with Motorola.
Therefore, it is in the best interest of the County to approve award of Piggyback File #24-397, Radio Replacements, to Motorola Solutions of Cape Coral, Florida, per NASPO Contract 00318, Public Safety Communications, Products, Services, and Solutions, for the total amount of $1,274,380.78.
