BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The Sheriff receives Contraband Forfeiture revenue each year from money seized in violation of Florida Statutes section 932.701 through 932.704, the Florida Contraband Act. The Statutes require the proceeds to be deposited in a special Law Enforcement Trust Fund established by the Board of County Commissioners and that the funds may be expensed by the Sheriff upon request.
