Recommended Action:
a) Approve award Piggyback File #24-413, for the purchase of four (4) Kubota Excavators, per Sourcewell Utility Vehicles and Off-road Vehicles Contract #122220-KBA, and award to Creel Tractor Company of Fort Myers, Florida for a total purchase price of $332,706.30 for four (4) units; and
b) Approve Asset # 34140, 34141,34642 and 34700 to be sold via auction

No action needed. Budgeted in the Heavy Equipment Replacement plan approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is supplied from Utility rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of four (4) Kubota Excavators. One (1) KX057-5R1A Kubota Excavator with a 24" QA Trenching Bucket, Coupler, and Hydraulic Thumb ($70,997.75) to replace Asset# 34140, One (1) KX057-5R1A Kubota Excavator with a 24" QA Trenching Bucket, Coupler, and 36" QA Trenching Bucket ($73,233.68) to replace Asset #34642, One (1) KX080-4S2R3A Kubota Excavator with a 24" QA Trenching Bucket, Coupler, and Thumb Kit ($111,751.28) to replace Asset #34700, One (1) KX057-5R3A Kubota Excavator with a 24" QA Trenching Bucket, Coupler, and Thumb ($76,723.59) to replace Asset #34141. These four (4) Kubota Excavators will be utilized by the Utilities Department. The total cost includes a 2-year parts and labor warranty for each unit. The prices, terms and conditions, and specifications are from the Sourcewell Utility Vehicles and Off-road Vehicles Contract #122220-KBA and has been reviewed by the Department.
