BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

This funding agreement for the construction of a hurricane resistant mast arm traffic signal at the Kings Highway and Harborview Road Intersection. Mast arm hardening of the intersection will reduce repair costs from future natural disasters such as hurricanes and other weather events. Safety will be improved for motorists after such weather events occur, due to the ability of the intersection to remain operational without having to be rebuilt. As approved during the 2023 legislative session.
