Approve Piggyback of File #24-468, Cedar Point Environmental Park Replacement Playground, per the Omnia Partners Contract #2017001135 Playground and Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Site Accessories, Surfacing, and Related Products and Services contract, which was awarded to Kompan, Inc. of Tacoma, Washington for a total cost of $587,483.74.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Community Services is requesting the replacement and expansion of the existing playground at Cedar Point Environmental Park. This playground equipment will include: Multi Deck Playhouse Nature/PE Slide/In-ground 60cm; Tipi Carousel with Top Brace - Sand Color/In-ground; KRS-Custom 8201000x Robina Eagle Nest/In-ground; Installation of Kompan Equipment; Surfacing & Sitework; and ADA Ramp. This purchase is in accordance with the prices, terms, and conditions of the Omnia Partners Contract #2017001135 Playground and Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Site Accessories, Surfacing, and Related Products and Services contract.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the Piggyback File #24-468, Cedar Point Environmental Park Replacement Playground, per the Omnia Partners Contract #2017001135 Playground and Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Site Accessories, Surfacing, and Related Products and Services contract, to Kompan, Inc. of Tacoma, WA, for a total cost of $587,483.74.
