REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION
recommendation
Recommended Action:
a) Approve Lease Agreement between Charlotte County and Center for Abuse and Rape Emergencies, Inc. (C.A.R.E.) at Mac V. Horton West County Annex; and
b) Approve Resolution authorizing the County Administrator, or his designee, to execute amendments, extensions, terminations, assignments, subleases, and novation changes to the Lease Agreement; and
c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Lease Agreement and Resolution.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
C.A.R.E. is a non-profit agency, that wishes to continue leasing the premises at the Mac V. Horton West County Annex, where they provide services to the citizens of Charlotte County. The lease commences October 1, 2024, for one year with two one-year options to renew, for a potential term of three years total. This opportunity enhances partnerships with a local, non-profit organization to support citizens of Charlotte County that are in need.
