Recommended Action:
a) Approve an agreement with FDOT for implementation of a Non-Motorized Traffic Monitoring Program at Cape Haze Pioneer Trail; and
b) Approve Resolution authorizing the County Administrator, or his designee, to execute any related amendments, terminations, and novation changes to the Agreement as needed.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
FDOT developed a statewide Non-Motorized Traffic Monitoring Program with the purpose of collecting and maintaining a statistically valid bicycle and pedestrian volume data that would allow the Department to calculate the statistics for annual publication to serve all FDOT’s data customers and partner agencies. The data obtained from the Program may be used for various types of analyses such as planning, designing, and programming facilities, pavement, and trail maintenance.
