Approve Resolution authorizing the acquisition any real property or real property interests located in Northwest Port Charlotte on behalf of Community Services for future department needs.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. If the bid is successful a new capital improvement project and budget adjustment will be brought to the Board for approval. Funding will be supplied from Capital Projects ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Real Estate Services Division is seeking permission to acquire real property located in Northwest Port Charlotte on behalf of Community Services. This Resolution will authorize the Real Estate Services Division to acquire any such parcels or easement interests that become available by voluntary purchase, donation, or tax deed auction which may be reasonably necessary for future department needs. Such acquisitions are not to exceed the value indicated by an appraisal that is approved by the County Administrator.
