Recommended Action:
a) Approve Resolution authorizing the Chairman to sign the acknowledgement on behalf of Charlotte County that the Consortium’s members will operate in accordance with the Four-Year Local Plan of the Interlocal Agreement for the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Consortium; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Resolution.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Charlotte County is a signatory to the Fifth Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement for the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Consortium, which confers specific duties upon members of the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Consortium, including Charlotte County. A specific Consortium duty is to join with Careersource Southwest Florida “to review and approve the Four-Year Local Plan” required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. Adoption of the resolution approves the draft Four-Year Local Workforce Plan.
