This ordinance aims to mitigate the presence of large vehicles traversing through residential neighborhoods and directs them to utilize major roadways. Currently, this residential area serves as a shortcut for large vehicles, particularly semi-trucks, traveling on portions of Westchester Boulevard and on Loveland Boulevard. Numerous residents have voiced concerns about the safety hazards posed by these speeding trucks, the excessive noise they generate, and the consequential damage inflicted upon the road infrastructure. The implementation of this ordinance is intended to alleviate these issues by rerouting large trucks away from residential streets. By doing so, we anticipate a reduction in noise levels, enhanced safety for pedestrians and motorists, and a decrease in road damage caused by these heavy vehicles.
