Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of File #24-590, for the purchase of six (6) 2025 Mac Walking Floor Trailers - per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA23-EQU21.0, and award to Nationwide Haul LLC, of Pompano Beach, Florida for a purchase price of $690,426 for all units; and
b) Approve Asset #32645, 32646, 32648, 32649, 32651 and 32652, to be sold via auction.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Solid Waste Heavy Equipment Replacement Plan as approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is supplied from Solid Waste fees.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure the firm price for the purchase and delivery of six (6) 2025 Mac Walking Floor Trailers to replace Asset #32645, 32646, 32648, 32649, 32651 and 32652, which will be utilized by Public Works Solid Waste. The prices, terms and conditions of specifications are from the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract #FSA23-EQU21.0.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of six (6) Mac Walking Floor Trailers to Nationwide Haul LLC, of Pompano Beach, Florida for a total cost of $690,426 for all units and approve assets that are being replaced to be sold via auction.
