Recommended Action:
Approve Resolution authorizing the voluntary acquisition of real property or easement interest in real property that may be required for the future implementation of the Sandhill Boulevard widening project.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement Project “Sandhill Blvd Widening - Kings Highway to Capricorn” as approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is suppled from Road Impact Fees.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Real Estate Services Division is continuing to obtain real property to be utilized in the Sandhill Boulevard widening project as authorized by the Board of County Commissioners by Resolution 2017-243.
Resolution 2017-243 authorized the voluntary acquisition of 25240 Sandhill Boulevard. However, due to changes in design standards and stormwater management requirements, it has been determined that additional parcels and/or easement interests may be needed for the project.
This Resolution will authorize the Real Estate Services Division to acquire through voluntary acquisition, parcels or easement interests not previously identified as necessary by Resolution 2017-243.
