a) Approve the Third Amended Peace River/Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority Master Water Supply Contract (“Contract”) between Charlotte County and Peace River/Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority, DeSoto County, Sarasota County, and City of North Port; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract.

The Peace River/Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority (“Authority”) Board of Directors at their August 7, 2024 meeting approved sending out the attached Third Amended Peace River/Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority Master Water Supply Contract (TAMWSC) to Members and the City of North Port for approval by each respective governing body.
The proposed TAMWSC changes include updated Exhibits “A” (Desoto Payment Schedule), “B” (Water Allocations), “C” (New Water Supply Demands), and “F”(Cost Allocation Percentages), as well as updated and clean-up of outdated language.
A copy of the redline comparing the original MWSC terms and the TAMWSC is included for BOCC review. To preserve readability, the Exhibits are not included in the redline.
The Authority Board will take final action upon receipt of approval by all parties.
To remain on schedule for the delivery of requested new supply capacity in 2028, the Authority has requested that TAMWSC be approved by all parties by November 15, 2024. Approval by November 15, 2024 will allow the item to be placed on the agenda for the by the Authority’s December 4, 2024, Board Meeting for final approval.
