The traffic modeling study identified future capacity needs along the Burnt Store corridor taking into account potential growth in the area. The study determined the need for an East-West Connector from Burnt Store Road to US 41. A preliminary engineering study investigated several alignments for this connector and established a preferred alignment. The engineering study considered the following: alternative alignments, typical roadway sections, right-of-way, access management, environmental/stormwater ponds, and costs.
