Approve the negotiated settlement with Jeffrey El-Khalidi for all his Workers Compensation claims as recommended by Risk Management and the County Attorney.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Jeffery El-Khalidi was a Firefighter for 11 years and resigned in July of 2024. A negotiated settlement was tentatively reached on August 22, 2024 pending approval of the Board. The settlement is $75,000.00 for four (4) claims that were serious industrial accidents that required significant care over the last ten (10) years and will continue to create a large exposure to the County.
