Recommended Action:
Approve for Request for Proposal #24-498, Design Bridge Replacement - Washington Loop Bridge 010009: 1st Kimley-Horn, of Sarasota, Florida; 2nd DRMP, Inc. of Fort Myers, Florida; 3rd KCI Technologies of Tampa, Florida; and
b) Approve start of negotiations; and
c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the contract after completion of negotiations.
This is for engineering services to design and permit the replacement of the Washington Loop Bridge 010009.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Works Bridge Capital Maintenance Plan as approved in the FY25 budget process. Funding is supplied from Capital Projects Fund, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Charlotte County is requesting a qualified firm to design and permit the replacement of the Washington Loop over Prairie Creek Bridge - FDOT Bridge No. 010009.
Three (3) proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee, consisting of Jeff Litherland, Project Engineer-Public Works, Rob Melton, Project Engineer- Utilities, and Joseph Romanelli, Project Manager - Facilities. A copy of the proposals are attached along with the breakdown of ranking.
