REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION
recommendation
Recommended Action:
a) Approve Coral Creek Waterway Bridge Repair Agreements between Charlotte County and Thomas Marine Construction, Inc., and Charlotte County and Consor Engineers, LLC for repairs to the Coral Creek Waterway Bridge; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign both of the Coral Creek Waterway Bridge Repair Agreements.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The Coral Creek bridge deck started to show signs of deterioration long before the industry standard timeframe. Agreements have been drafted with both the contractor that constructed the bridge and the engineering firm that inspected the bridge during construction to correct the issues to the bridge deck. These agreements will allow all parties to work together on the repair of the bridge deck.
