BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this contract is to provide and install an MTI Dragonfly Control System to upgrade the existing MTI control system located at the Charlotte County Jail. MTS will provide and install 23 MTI Control Stations, 23 Data Convertors, 34 Digital Amplifiers, and one (1) MTI card reader. Each control station consists of computer running MTI Provision software, a microphone and desktop speakers for intercommunications and card reader for access.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the services to Montgomery Technology Systems, LLC of Greenville, Alabama at total cost of $321,900.
