Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of “Piggyback” to File #25-175, for the purchase of five (5) Vactor 2100i PD Sewer Cleaner Truck, per the Sourcewell Contract #101221VTR, and award to Environmental Products Group, Inc. of Apopka, Florida for a purchase price of $632,024 per unit; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign both the Repurchase Agreement and the Turn Key Maintenance Contract; and
c) Approve Asset #35631 to be sold via auction.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Capital Improvement Project “Additional Rolling Stock Public Works (FY24/FY25)” and the Heavy Equipment Replacement Plan as approved in the FY25 budget process. Funding is supplied from the Vehicle Replacement fund and will be charged back to the appropriate department.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of five (5) Vactor 2100i PD Sewer Cleaner Truck. Four (4) will be used as additional trucks to fleet and one (1) is a fleet replacement of Asset #35631, which will be utilized by Public Works Maintenance & Operations. The total unit price includes a 5-year Turn Key Maintenance plan. The prices, terms and conditions, and specifications are from the Sourcewell Contract #101221-VTR and have been reviewed by the Department.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of five (5) Vactor 2100i PD Sewer Cleaner Truck to Environmental Products Group, Inc. of Apopka, Florida for a cost of $632,024 per unit, authorize the Chairman to sign both the Repurchase Agreement and the Turn Key Maintenance Contract, and approve Asset #35631 to be sold via action.
