Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of “Piggyback” to File #25-141, for the purchase of two (2) 2026 Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks, per Florida Sheriff's Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract# FSA23-VEH21.0, and award to the Peterbilt Store South FL of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $224,336 per unit; and
b) Approve Assets #35163 and #34395 to be sold via auction.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of two (2) 2026 Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks to replace Asset #35163 and #34395, which will be utilized by Utilities. The total cost includes a 5-year parts and labor warranty for each unit. The prices, terms, conditions, and specifications are from the statewide Florida Sheriff's Association Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract# FSA23-VEH21.0, Heavy Trucks and Buses.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of the two (2) 2026 Peterbilt 567 Dump Trucks to the Peterbilt Store South FL of Fort Myers, Florida for a purchase price of $224,336 per unit and Assets #35163 and #34395 to be sold via auction.
