BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Florida Statute 125.38, permits counties to enter into lease agreements where it finds necessary for certain entities to perform official duties and obligations in furtherance of the public interest and welfare.
Florida Representative Danny Nix, Jr. has requested to lease space from Charlotte County to perform his official duties and obligations. The space to be utilized is approximately 800 square feet, located at the Murdock Administration Center, Building B, Room 200. The lease rate shall be $250 (Two-Hundred and Fifty Dollars) per month, from January 14th, 2025 until January 13th 2027.
Administration and Facilities have approved this leased space.
