Recommended Action:
a) Approve the acceptance of the Florida Sports Foundation Grant Agreement in the amount of $29,415.00; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Florida Sports Foundation Grant Agreement.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Tourism Promo General account during the FY2025 budget process. Grant funding in the amount of $29,415.00 will be paid by the Florida Sports Foundation. Matching funding in the amount of $29,415.00 will be paid by the Tourism Development Tax Fund.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The Grant assists in offsetting a certain portion of expenses related to the production of the Snowbird Baseball Classic. The County has been receiving Florida Sports Foundation (FSF) grants for over ten years. This event generates significant economic impact for the County, a primary responsibility of the Tourism Development Department. Pursuant to Resolution 2016-136, the amount of the grant exceeds the County Administrator’s authorization to execute agreements and related documents without Board approval. The agreement is received digitally from FSF and signed digitally by them upon receipt.
