body

Background:

The property within the West Port Community Development District (“District”) has developed, and will continue to develop, into a community known as “West Port” with residences, parks, facilities, and other uses.  As part of the development, land within the District has been platted and streets dedicated to the District for public use and subject to certain recorded covenants that may be enforced by West Port Community Association, Inc. (“Association”).

The Agreement is to provide enforcement of the State Uniform Traffic Control (Sec. 316.006(3), Florida Statutes) on those streets dedicated to the District for public use, and any streets that may be dedicated to the District in the future.  The Agreement is for general traffic enforcement at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s discretion, and any special events which the District or Association desire to have dedicated patrols, and is subject to the rates set by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
