a) Approve award of File #25-229 for the purchase of 28 Courageous Dive Boat and Trailer, per the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Contract #FSA23-VEF17.0, and award to Metal Shark Boats, of Jeanerette, Louisiana for a purchase price of $435,990.01; and
b) Approve Asset #32575 Boat and Asset #38068 Trailer to be sold via auction.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Community Services Equipment Replacement Plan as approved in the FY25 budget process. Funding is provided from the General Fund to be reimbursed by Capital Projects, ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this purchase is to secure a firm price for the purchase and delivery of 28 Courageous Dive Boat and Trailer to replace Asset #32575, which will be utilized by Community Service Park Maintenance. The total cost includes electronics, navigation, outfitting, equipment, lighting, and delivery. The prices, terms conditions, and specifications are from the Florida Sheriff’s Association Cooperative Purchasing Contract #FSA23-VEF17.0.
Therefore, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award the purchase of the 28 Courageous Dive Boat and Trailer to Metal Shark Boats, of Jeanerette, LA for a total cost of $435,990.01 and approve Asset #32575 Boat and Asset #38068 Trailer to be sold via auction.
