REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION
recommendation
Recommended Action:
a) Approve ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #25-100, Disaster Recovery Assessments: 1st CSA Consulting Group, LLC, of Port Charlotte, Florida, and 2nd DRMP, Inc, of Fort Myers, Florida; and
b) Approve start of negotiations; and
c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. A 4th quarter budget adjustment will be brought to the Board for approval. Disaster related costs are collected in Hurricane fund 1901. Funding will be supplied by County general revenues, with an anticipated federal cost share/ reimbursement of eligible activities from Federal Emergency Management agency and Florida Division of Emergency Management. Local cost share to be determined at the time of the disaster.

Background:
This proposal is requesting the services of a consulting firm to provide disaster assessments, full designs, permitting, and construction oversight, for Charlotte County property.
Two proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Jeff Litherland, Project Engineer-Public Works, Lonne Moore, Project Manager - Community Services, and Teresa VanderWagg, Manager - Facilities. Copies of the proposals are attached along with a breakdown of ranking.
