REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION

Recommended Action:

a) Approve the Professional Services Library, Request for Proposal #25-643, with 88 pre-qualified firms as listed on the attached for the period of January 1, 2016 2026, through and including December 31, 2029, with option to renew for up to two additional two-year terms; and

b) Authorize the Chairman to sign the contracts; and

c) Authorize the County Administrator to approve the additional renewal(s).

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

The purpose of this contract is to establish a resource library of pre-qualified consultants for various professional service projects. This contract will be used by all departments.

 

The Library serves as a multiple award resource of pre-qualified professionals for projects with construction costs that do not exceed $7,500,000 and professional service fees not exceeding $500,000 for any one project. Upon approval by the Board of County Commissioners, qualified submittals will be added to the library. Pre-qualified consultants will be organized in the library under the following classifications:

Architecture, Asbestos, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, Historical Resource Interpretation, Geological, Industrial, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Mechanical, Planning, Surveying, Sustainability Services, and Utilities.

 

The proposals were evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of David Dowling, Transportation Projects Engineer; Ken Stecher, Utilities Operations Manager; and Teresa VanderWaag, Facilities Manager. The list of firms with their respective categories is attached.
