Approve Change Order #4 to Request for Bid #25-062, Kings Highway and Harborview Road Intersection Improvements for an additional $147,282.87, which was awarded to Andrew Sitework LLC, of Fort Myers, Florida. This additional work is for repairs related to a truck accident at the intersection that damaged the newly installed traffic signal mast arm

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Public Works Engineering budget as approved in the FY2027 budget process. Funding for the expenditure comes from MSTU. These expenditures will be reimbursed through the accident claims recovery process.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this bid is to secure the services of a licensed Contractor for intersection
improvements at Kings Highway and Harborview Road. The project includes milling and resurfacing, auxiliary lane widening, drainage improvements, signalization, intelligent transportation system improvements, lighting improvements, and signing and pavement markings as indicated on the construction plans.
Public Works is requesting Change Order #4 which is related to a truck accident at the intersection that damaged the newly installed traffic signal mast arm.
