Recommended Action:
a) Approve Amendment #2 to Contract #23-440, Interactive Growth Model with Metro Forecasting Models, LLC of Bonita Springs, Florida in the amount of $5,000; and
b) Authorize the Chairman to sign Amendment #2 to the Contract for the amended services.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Community Services Capital Maintenance Plan approved in the FY24 budget process. Funding is supplied from Capital Projects ad valorem.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
On May 9, 2023, the Board approved a request for Community Development in the development and implementation of an Interactive Growth Model Ver. 3 to provide services with the assistance of County staff. Key steps in the development of the model include: accurate population forecast; disaggregate the political subdivision into zones; current inventory of development and demographics by zone; design and develop criteria and formulas for spatial distribution of development over time; buildout inventory of development by type and intensity and forecast of demographic by zone; design and develop sub models selected; data output by zone for 5-year increments; and graphic interpretation of results by County GIS staff under the direction and collaboration with the Consultant.
On April 23, 2024 the Board approved Amendment 1 to add an additional scope of services and work tasks.
This Amendment 2 is for additional services needed to complete the analysis for overlaying the existing parks and recreation master plan park opportunities maps to determine timing and appropriateness of development of said opportunities; provide recommended changes to priorities of park opportunities based on the parks sub-model. The Level of Service will be consistent with the radii associated with the acreage of existing and proposed parks.
Therefore, request approval of Amendment #2 to Contract #23-440, Interactive Growth Model with Metro Forecasting Models, LLC of Bonita Springs, Florida in the amount of $5,000.
