BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

body

Background:

This is professional design services for the South County Annex Master Plan and Design to Replace the current building.

The project will provide a new, approximately 30,000 square-foot, modern and code-compliant facility. The current facility is located at 410 Taylor Street, Punta Gorda, Florida 33950.

The project will require a master plan exercise to determine and define future Charlotte County Annex Space, which will manage growth by establishing an organizational framework that standardizes future Annex Space throughout the County. Upon completion of the planning exercise, that guidance will be utilized to design and program the replacement of the current South County Annex.

Eight proposals were received and evaluated by Professional Services Committee consisting of Travis Perdue, Facilities Management Director; John Elias, Public Works Director; and Ben Bailey, Community Development Director. A copy of the top three proposals are attached, along with a breakdown of the ranking.
