Recommended Action:
Approve award of Request for Bid #25-443, Bleachers and Dugout Shade Structures for Various Parks, to Creative Shade Solutions, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, for a total cost of $351,000. This is for shade structures over the bleachers and dugouts at Centennial Park, Harold Avenue Regional Park, South County Regional Park, and Carmalita Park, to repair damages due to Hurricane Ian.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. A 4th quarter budget amendment will be brought to the Board for approval if awarded. There is an anticipated reimbursement of 90% by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with a Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM)reimbursement of 5% and a local match of 5%. The SB4A state program may cover the local share of 5% if funding is still available.

Background:
The purpose of this Request for Bid is to secure the services of a professional, licensed Contractor to provide services to design, remove existing, and install new shade structures on various parks owned or maintained by the County, due to Hurricane Ian.
This Request for Bid is strictly for shade structures over the bleachers and dugouts at Centennial Park, Harold Avenue Regional Park, South County Regional Park, and Carmalita Park.
After review and evaluation of the bids received, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award Request for Bid #25-443, Bleachers and Dugout Shade Structures for Various Parks, to Creative Shade Solutions, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, for a total cost of $351,000.
Contract time is 90 calendar days with Liquidated Damages of $1,690 per calendar day.
