REQUESTED MOTION/ACTION

Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #26-482, Mandatory LPS Tank Installation - Annual Contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Fehl Safe Water Systems of Bradenton, Florida at the unit price bid of $9,350 per installation. The contract period is from October 1, 2026, through and including September 30, 2027; and
b) Authorize County Administrator, or designee, to approve renewal options for up to two (2) additional one (1) year periods at the same prices, terms and conditions, by mutual consent.

No action needed. Budgeted in the Utilities Operations and Maintenance Fund - Operations budget as approved in the FY2026 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from rate revenues.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
The purpose of this bid is to secure the services of a licensed Contractor to furnish and install a complete Low-Pressure Sewer (LPS) System including all piping and appurtenances, abandonment of existing septic tanks and restoration to successfully connect to the existing home and LPS service lateral in accordance with the Florida Plumbing Code, Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.
After review and evaluation of the Mandatory LPS Tank Installation bids submitted, it has been determined to be in the best interest of the County to award to the lowest, responsive, responsible, bidder, Fehl Safe Water Systems of Bradenton, Florida at the unit price bid of $9,350 per installation
