Recommended Action:
a) Approve ranking of firms for Request for Proposal #26-189, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Facility Emergency Food Catering - Annual Contract: 1st: Mattison’s 41, of Sarasota, Florida, 2nd: Cotton Commercial USA, Inc., of Katy, Texas; and
b) Approve start of negotiations; and
c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Contract after completion of negotiations.

No action needed. The potential expense for this contract would only occur if there was an emergency or disaster event and will be submitted to FEMA for reimbursement if applicable.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
This proposal is requesting the services from a qualified firm to provide catering services, supply bulk and/or boxed food meals, and food supplies to the County’s employees and emergency workers before and/or after an emergency or disaster event at the Emergency Operations Center.
Two (2) proposals were received and evaluated by the Professional Services Committee consisting of Ellen Pinder, Emergency Management Coordinator-Public Safety, Jackie Stevens, Manager - People Operations, and Mike Koenig, Resource Manager-Community Services. Copies of the proposals are attached, along with the breakdown of ranking.
