Recommended Action:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #26-483, Non-Structural Turnout Gear - Annual Contract, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Firefighter One, LLC of Sparta, New Jersey, at the unit prices submitted for a term of October 1, 2026, through and including September 30, 2027; and
b) Authorize County Administrator, or designee, to approve renewal options up to two (2) additional one-year periods, by mutual agreement, at the same prices, terms, and conditions.

Budgeted Action:
No action needed. Budgeted in the Fire Rescue Fund - Fire budget as approved in the FY2026 budget process. Funding for this expenditure comes from Fire Rescue MSBU assessments.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background:
Public Safety, Fire/EMS has requested the Purchasing Division establish an annual contract for the supply and delivery of Non-Structural Turnout Gear for use when fighting non-structural fires on an as required basis.
A Request for Bid was published with seven (7) submittals received. After review, the department has recommended Firefighter One, LLC of Sparta, New Jersey for award of the Contract.
Therefore, it is in the best interest of the County to:
a) Approve award of Request for Bid #26-483, Non-Structural Turnout Gear - Annual Contract, to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Firefighter One, LLC of Sparta, New Jersey, at the unit prices submitted for a term of October 1, 2026, through and including September 30, 2027; and
b) Authorize County Administrator, or designee, to approve renewal options up to two (2) additional one-year periods, by mutual agreement, at the same prices, terms, and conditions.
