b) Approve Resolution to authorize the Chairman to sign the Second Lease Agreement; and

c) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Second Lease Agreement; and

d) Authorize the Chairman to sign the Resolution.

BACKGROUND (Why is this Action Necessary, and What Action will be accomplished)

Background: 

Florida Statute 125.38, permits counties to enter into lease agreements to lease county-owned property to not-for-profit organizations which are organized for the purposes of promoting public or community interest and welfare.

 

Charlotte County Computer Group has requested to execute a Second Lease Agreement from Charlotte County for the purposes of promoting public or community interest and welfare. The space to be utilized remains in its current location: Grace Street Annex, 512 & 514 Grace Street, Room 141, in Punta Gorda.

 

The lease rate shall remain $396 (Three-Hundred and Ninety-Six Dollars) per month.  The lease shall be for twelve (12) months and commence February 1st, 2025 and to continue until January 31st, 2026.  In addition, there are three (3), one-year options to renew the lease at the same terms, which must be agreed upon by both parties in writing no less than three (3) months prior to the term end date. 

 

 

Facilities, County Attorney’s Office, and Real Estate Services have approved this leased space.
